I have recently stumbled upon Twillio and it’s definitely quite an interesting company. The company main focus is handling the backend and connecting to various telecom hardware by exposing a globally available cloud API that developers can use to build communications systems.
Here I am writing about the products called Super SIM (one SIM to connect IoT devices globally) and Narrowband (the SDK and developer kit for the NB-IoT). The Super SIM is done in partnerships with Singtel, Telefonica and Three group to provide a SIM card that works everywhere in the world.
The Narrowband focus is currently only on the U.S. and the NB-IoT network of T-mobile. The offering includes Twilio’s Programmable Wireless and SIM card, IoT developer kit with an Arduino-based development board, standard Grove sensors and SDK for optimizing network registrations and communication between devices and the cloud.
More information can be found here. The product page about Super SIM and about Narrowband.
This blog is focused on simplifying and promoting the complex but also very interesting world of IoT, 5G, networking and digitalization.
Blog’s aim is to give short, interesting and useful information and content to business people and everyone interested in IoT/5G business development, entrepreneurship and practical use cases.
The blog presents concepts and analyses, use cases, product comparisons, news roundups, interviews, educational videos, tutorials, reports and whitepapers.
If you need a machine and don’t buy it, then you will ultimately find that you have paid for it and don’t have it.
Time isn't a commodity, something you pass around like a cake. Time is the substance of life. When anyone asks you to give your time, they're really asking for a chunk of your life.
