I have been writing before about LPWAN coverage from satellites but mostly for LoRaWAN and SigFox technologies. This was natural due to the fact that these two technologies are aiming more towards remote, rural and suburban areas where there is no coverage from 4G cell towers. NB-IoT bein more costly and more energy hungry technology with the flip side of more capacity and real bidirectional was mostly aimed at city-wide IoT applications.
I personally think that having satellite i.e. worldwide coverage is a big step forward to stimulate growth of IoT networks and applications.
Here is the article describing a successful connection being made between satellite and NB-IoT end-node.
This blog is focused on simplifying and promoting the complex but also very interesting world of IoT, 5G, networking and digitalization.

If you need a machine and don’t buy it, then you will ultimately find that you have paid for it and don’t have it.
